Researcher/Analyst: Katherine Fischer publishes as PDXdowntowner  Her current special project is Portland's Caring Community an effort to engage city elected officials and employees to acknowledge the Old Town Chinatown Neighborhood as the City's Caring Community as reflected in the over 1,400 supportive care and shelter units embedded in the housing landscape and serving the homeless. 

PDXdowntowner is a social network that fosters leadership among neighbors. It's an information portal where lively discussions, Research Reports, Point of View Papers, photographs, videos, and other projects come together to document the experience of living in the New Chinatown Japantown Historic District of Old Town in Portland, Oregon.
